Although technically, it’s not here yet, brace yourselves. Winter is coming (in the style of Eddard Stark)! Although this was supposed to be a post about heavy winter jackets, hats, gloves, and scarves, the weather was pretty bipolar in Philadelphia this week, so not all of that was totally necessary. So instead, the trend of the week was jackets in general!
Let’s have a look, shall we?
Hello Elton John’s discarded blazer, haven’t seen you since the 70’s. No, kidding, totally loved this jacket. Monday was a pretty nice day considering it being December 1st and all! It was not a day that required a heavy over coat. I also had an event to attend, hence the heels. Brix suggested that I pair the jacket with the jumpsuit to give all of the black a little pop. And pop it gave. I was shining like a disco ball.
Honey, I’m homeless. Grungy Tuesday was a thing this week. It was kind of cold and I didn’t really have much to do, so I pretty much just threw on the first pair of jeans and t-shirt that I saw and paired it with my trench. The beanie came about when I realized that it matched the lining inside of the jacket. I couldn’t pass up an opportunity for a fashion statement that no one could even see.
Another semi-boring day in the Maz world of fashion. Although, I must say, everyone should own a cape coat. It is not only super warm, but extremely chic when paired with the appropriate accessories. I took a risk by wearing a beanie for two days in a row, but honestly, I wasn’t having a great hair day and the hats just seem to cover that problem right up. 10 out of 10 recommend a hat to fix a bad hair day every time.
Happy Business casual Thursday! God, Thursday felt like it was never going to end. But it did! I rocked my business casual outfit to pretend I was Don Vito Corleone for one presentation and then again later that day to pretend I was an easy-going, relatable stock broker for another presentation. Cross-functional outfits, my favorite.
Well, Friday was supposed to be a beige trench coat with a really cute new headband that I just got last week, but being in transition between living locations, once again sucks. I forgot my beige trench in Hometown, NJ at my parents’ house before I came back up to Philly. But fear not, the trench and I will be reunited, and you will see it on Instagram later today! Trench coats are my new favorite accessory.
This was my last week of classes and has proven to be more stressful than I could have imagined, so I apologize that the fashion was a bit lackluster this week! Hopefully now that I have some down time, I will be able to get back on track and – fingers crossed – go shopping, to liven up Fashion Fridays, from here on out! Also, big shout out to one of the most fashion forward people that I know, my Aunt Moe, for her birthday! Happy Anniversary of your 21st Moe Moe! ❤
