To the Fan Who Wants to Forgive and Forget~

Is it easier to forgive or forget?

Both can be hard to do, depending on the situation.

If we’re talking a major blow-out or something that really affected a relationship that you had with someone, be it a significant other, a best friend, a family member, or whatever: I would say, forgive but don’t forget. It’s like the famous saying, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I think that it takes a big person to forgive a problem, but I think that it is a very naive person to forget it. People who constantly forgive and forget are the ones who are usually taken advantage of. Just remember, if you forgive someone, it is under the assumption that they will not repeat the action that needed forgiveness in the first place. If the action is repeated or persists, then it’s time to remove yourself from the situation. Don’t let anyone treat you like sh*t for any reason. You deserve better than that.

XO, Maz

I want to hear from you!
