To the Fan Who Wants to Walk on the Wild Side But is Nervous~

Question:

I did something that was a little crazy and very out of character for me I don’t know how to tell my friends because I think they will judge me.

Answer:

First of all, if you worry about your friends judging you, are they actually your friends?

Second of all, are you more worried about what your friends will think or are you more worried about how you’ll feel after you admit what you did out loud?

Sometimes being a little crazy or doing something new or exciting and different changes us. It doesn’t necessarily change our personality or every day actions, but it changes our perceptions on different aspects of life.

For instance, moving abroad and having a ton of time to be anyone that I want to be; I have done a good number of “crazy” things, it’s opened my eyes to the world around me. I have an entirely different outlook on life, love and the pursuit of happiness. Some of these stories I have shared openly with all of my friends, family and fanz. Then there are other stories and crazy things that only I know about. Do I want to share every single one of these happenings with everyone? Not particularly.

I worry that when I say things out loud to other people, they will lose some of their meaning to me or I will re-think the situation and value it less.

So, all in all, I think that if the only thing that you’re worried about is what your friends will think, ditch that notion. If your actual fear is how you’ll feel after; well then, maybe it’s better to keep it to yourself. Don’t devalue something that you enjoyed. Don’t overthink it. Just enjoy your special memory.
