Sometimes, Most of the Time, I Have No Idea What’s Going On

So, this has been a philosophical week with tons of soul searching. I also found myself desiring to know other things in life, not only about me, but about how the world works on a day to day basis:

Why are the weekends Saturday and Sunday? Why couldn’t they have been Tuesday and Wednesday?

Who thought it would be a good idea to make the Goldfish snack, because although I enjoy it, what associated cheddar crackers with the aquatic goldfish?

Who’s the jack*ss who invented the word lisp for a those with a speech impediment?

Why is the alphabet in the order that it is? Why couldn’t “M” be the first letter?

Why does the Easter Bunny have eggs? Rabbits don’t lay eggs.

How was music invented and why do we enjoy it so much?

Who decided on what words were curse words? Like how did randomly strung together letters become a swear? Or language as a whole? When was it decided that more than hand gestures were needed?

These questions are hard hitting and have kept me up wondering for hours. Will there ever be an answer to some of them? I’m sure that some of them are google-able, but others may require a trip back in time (a la  “Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure”) to ask some of the creators of modern rules why they decided that this was how the world should work.

Let me know if you know because I would also love to be in the know.
