Popemageddon

BREAKING NEWS: The Pope is coming to Philly this weekend.

Oh wait.

Philadelphia has known for a long time and it’s still basically the end of civilization.

Roads are closed down. Train lines are not running. People are literally making a pilgrimage from New Jersey over the Ben Franklin Bridge to see Papa Francesco.

I’ve seen and been blessed by the Papa in Rome on Easter at the Vatican. I have had my fill of papal action (I actually just threw up in my mouth, that’s a vile sentence).

But, the Pope continues to bless me.

Because I live in a pretty central Philadelphia location, my university has been closed down on Friday, with a pending possibility of a Monday closure as well.

I get to spend my uber long weekend in my house without seeing daylight.

I’m going to stock up on boxed wine and straws, make sure that I have an abundance of craft supplies to take on a ton of DIY projects in my mini trap house/palace and thank my lucky stars that I have no obligation to see the Papa again.
